About
Dear Reader,
My name is Jack Truitt, or JT for short. I’m the creator of Axis Within. I started this blog with one goal in mind, “To share with the world what I believe to be life’s most valuable lessons.” Growing up, family and friends would always tell me, “You should be a therapist”, “You give really good advice.” I would be kicking myself in the head if I had this gift of helping others and never shared it at some point. This blog is intended to simplify the process for the reader. We are all running around this planet and don’t know what for. Could it be to learn these lessons?
The meaning behind the logo
What is Axis Within? It’s many things. Axis is a play on words, to “Access Within”. With so much of our focus on the external world, could it be that we’ve been looking for answers in the wrong place the whole time? Axis is also a main point of alignment or balance, like the earth balancing on an axis. Here we have 4 pillars balancing on an axis. These pillars are Health, Wealth, Relationships, and Spirituality. You can point to any problem you have in your life and they will all fall under one of these four pillars. The inside dot is your north star that you are always aiming for, while the two colors of the circle symbolize the constant battle of the light and dark forces within you.

Change begins with an open mind
Before I give anyone advice, I always ask the person “Do you have an open mind?” Why is this necessary? Because without an open mind, the mind remains fixed on the same patterns that it has always been focused on. Repeating over and over again. It’s like a hellish carousel (sorry for the scary imagery).
Change doesn’t come from hard work, hustle, or hours spent. It comes from, first, an open mind that can learn and adopt new patterns, new ways of thinking, and new ways of being. There is an internal leap of faith one must take. To decide that maybe “I don’t know the truth about everything.” Maybe there are other ways of looking at the world, my life, and others in it.
Balance the four pillars
I’d like to tell you, “Just follow these simple truths and all your problems will go away.” That would be too easy. No, there is an incredible adventure of joy, pain, misery, love, acceptance, peace and freedom that you are about to embark on.
When you balance these four pillars in your life, you won’t see that life gets easier. Rather, you will see that you get stronger. As you gain strength, you can handle more, and more will be given. Look at these lessons in this blog as a guide that you are on the right track. You may read some articles here and there and then within the next week be living the same thing. This blog will serve as a reference to help you along the way. When you are ready with an open mind, the information will find you. Talk Soon!
